FOR CREATORS
- Every clip on KatchTV.com plays in its original platform's player, with your name and a link back to you.
- Don't want your video on our channels? Email us the link. You don't need a formal legal notice, and we'll take it off our schedule promptly.
- If your video is deleted or made private on its platform, it stops playing here automatically.
1. Simple removal request
Email admin@katchtv.com with the subject "Removal request". Include the link to your video (or the channel and time it aired) and tell us you're the creator or authorized to act for them. We normally remove clips within 2 business days.
2. Formal copyright notice (DMCA)
If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, you can send a written notice under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) to our designated agent. To be effective, your notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- identification of the material you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it (such as the video link and channel);
- your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
Designated agent: KatchTV.com Copyright Agent, admin@katchtv.com
Because videos play from their original platforms, you may also want to report the original upload to that platform: YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X and Vimeo.
3. Counter-notice
If you submitted a clip that was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include your signature, identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., any district where we may be found), and to accept service from the person who sent the original notice.
4. Repeat infringers
We may block Submissions from people who repeatedly submit infringing material.
5. Please be accurate
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). If you're unsure, consider talking to a lawyer.
